Villa Douglas is the largest out of the three villas found on the extensive property. It is surrounded by terraces and gardens, and can comfortably sleep up to 11 guests plus 2 additional guests in the dependance (available as an extra).

The overall feel of Villa Douglas can be described as that of an unconstrained flow, where light and air alike move freely through the large white arches and the tall french windows. Every room overlooks the garden and sea, and is decorated with lightly coloured furniture and artwork that complement the natural hues that pour in through the vast windows.

The heart of the Villa, however, is a black maze-like set of staircases that meet right at the centre of the property. Each staircase leads towards a different floor of the Villa, meaning the whole house is easily explored through this black crossroads. Three out of the five bedrooms boast en-suite bathrooms, and all bathrooms are decorated with the traditional ‘maiolica’ flooring.

The living room’s most unique piece is a large, custom-made sofa found opposite of the windows overlooking the garden. Larger than a King-size bed, it is a phenomenal option for lounging and relaxing, or taking a break after a long walk.

The dining room is one of the most beautiful jewels of the property. At its centre stands a large round marble table surrounded by beautifully designed wooden chairs, while wall-sized windows around the seating area create the illusion of dining outdoors.

Outside, the gardens extend down to Marina di Caterola, and guests enjoy the private pool carved into the rock — open from dawn to sunset.

• 3 large terraces, one of which surrounds the majority of the house. The terraces are equipped with 3 external dining tables, coffee tables, teak chaises-longues, benches and armchairs.

• Upon request and at an extra cost, an independent annex suite is also available, with a queen-size bed and a bathroom with 2 washbasins, bathtub and shower
